Face Painting Care
Our water-based makeup will wash off easily. We recommend using baby shampoo, gentle liquid soap on a washcloth or makeup wipes.
Water Resistant Paint Removal
Our water resistant makeup can be easily removed with makeup remover or liquid soap. We recommend using some liquid soap of your preference on the skin first to break down the paint.
Glitter, Airbrush & Metallic Tattoos
Glitter and Airbrush Tattoos dry immediately. Metallic tattoos need a few minutes to set on your skin. All three are waterproof and will last up to 7 days. Try not to rub or scratch your artwork. If it gets wet, pat it dry. It’s also a good idea to keep your artwork away from chlorine and lotions or oils.
Your temporary tattoos will fade on their own over time. To remove your tattoo, saturate a cotton ball with 70% to 90% alcohol or baby oil and hold on the tattoo for few minutes. This will loosen the glue, ink, or transfer. You should now be able to rub your temporary tattoo right off.
Henna Tattoos
Our Henna is freshly mixed for each event which assures the darkest stain.
Color Henna Tattoos
Our color henna is applied like traditional henna. It only takes 5 minutes to dry once applied, and does not flake off like traditional henna. Color henna lasts up to 5 days, except for finger designs which are expected to come off within 1 to 2 days.
To preserve your color henna, apply Vaseline or Shea lotion on your design before showering, swimming or getting it wet. Do not rub over the design while wet. Apply an oil or lotion after each wash or shower. If you tend to have dry skin apply oil or lotion often.
To speed up the removal of your color henna design, exfoliate the skin.
We use natural ingredients:
- Henna Powder
- Essential Oils
- Lemon Juice
- Sugar
Your henna tattoo will take 15 to 20 minutes to dry. Leave the paste on your skin for a minimum of 3 hours. The longer you leave it on, the darker your design will be. Variations in color depend on your skin tone and skin type. Remove the paste by rubbing it with oil (jojoba, olive, coconut, or baby). Apply an oil-based lotion to the finished design. It will appear orange in color at first.
Over the next 48 hours, your Henna tattoo will darken considerably and reach its peak color, a reddish-brown. Avoid washing your Henna the first day, if possible.
Designs usually last from 5 days to three weeks on the skin, depending on your body temperature, skin type, body chemistry, lifestyle, and where the henna is applied.
The color of your henna will fade gradually as your skin exfoliates. The time varies from person to person.
If you want to preserve your tattoo, apply Vaseline or Shea lotion on your design before showering, swimming or getting it wet. Do not rub over the design while wet. Apply an oil or lotion after each wash or shower. If you tend to have dry skin apply oil or lotion often.
To speed the removal of your Henna design, the key is to exfoliate.
Jagua Tattoos
Jagua is a natural dye used by indigenous people throughout Central and South America for body adornment. Our Jagua uses the same application technique as Henna. It does not contain PPD or any other toxic chemical. Jagua is not the same as Henna; it dyes the skin blue-black, just like the color of a permanent tattoo. This body ink will dry in 20 to 45 minutes depending on the design. It will usually last 5 to 10 days, then disappear completely.
Wash off the dried gel from your skin after 2 hours with warm water and a washcloth. You will see absolutely nothing or a grey stain when you first remove the ink Leaving the dry Jagua gel on overnight is not recommended. If we apply your tattoo late in the evening and must sleep with the dried gel on, make sure to cover or wrap the design in tissue.
This will prevent the design from transferring to other areas of your body (like your face!) or on your bedsheets while you sleep.
Jagua shows up perfectly on dark skin. It will take 12-24 hours for the color to appear and fully develop to a dark blue-black stain. The color of your Jagua will fade gradually as your skin exfoliates.
The fade time varies according to each individual. Swimming in chlorinated water will make your Jagua design fade more quickly.
To help prolong the life of your tattoo, apply Vaseline on your design before showering, swimming, or getting the area wet. Do not rub over the design while wet.
As with anything else in the natural world, allergic reactions are always possible. It is known that certain drugs can sensitize the skin to things such as sunlight and certain topical preparations. Therefore, we recommend that people taking medication check first with their doctor before a Jagua application. It’s always good to do a small patch test first before attempting a full-size tattoo.
Hair Airbrush
The makeup we use for your hair airbrush is water-based and will wash out with your first shampoo.
Hair Crystals
Hair Crystals are applied to your hair with a flat iron in just a few minutes. Rhinestones of different colors and patterns will stay in your hair for up to 3 days or a few shampoos.
Some of our face painting, hair airbrushing, and glitter is black light reactive. Clients must have a black light to activate the colors and witness the glowing magic, it will not glow naturally in the dark.
Removal of black light reactive accents are similar to the removal of normal face paint. We suggest using liquid soap and water on a washcloth.
